FAQ

What is mobile dumpster compaction?

Mobile dumpster compaction is an on-site service where specialized equipment compacts waste directly inside an open-top roll-off dumpster. This creates more usable space and can help reduce the number of hauls needed.

Does ACS replace my current waste hauler?

No. ACS does not need to replace your hauler. Our service works alongside your current dumpster and hauling program to help reduce unnecessary swaps and improve efficiency.

What kind of dumpsters can ACS compact?

ACS typically services open-top roll-off dumpsters, including common 20-yard, 30-yard, and 40-yard dumpsters. Site access, dumpster condition, and material type are reviewed before service.

What materials can be compacted?

Common materials include cardboard, plastics, packaging waste, pallets, wood, furniture, light construction debris, bulky commercial waste, and general non-hazardous solid waste.

What materials cannot be compacted?

Some materials are not suitable for mobile compaction, including concrete, masonry, roofing shingles, red iron, hazardous waste, liquids, and other dense or restricted materials. ACS can review your waste stream before service.

Will compaction make my dumpster overweight?

Compaction increases volume efficiency, not the weight of the material itself. However, if a dumpster is repeatedly compacted and filled with heavy materials, weight limits still need to be considered. ACS can help you determine when compaction makes sense based on material type and hauling rules.

Is mobile compaction safe for dumpsters?

Yes, ACS uses purpose-built mobile compaction equipment operated by trained professionals. The service is designed for open-top roll-off dumpsters and is a safer, more controlled alternative to using loaders, excavators, or improvised equipment to push material down.

How long does service take?

Service time depends on dumpster size, material, access, and load condition. Most compactions are designed to be completed in less than 10 minutes so your team can keep working.

Do I need a contract?

ACS can support both scheduled service and on-demand needs. For recurring high-volume sites, a service plan may provide better savings and predictability.

How much can I save?

Savings depend on your current haul frequency, haul cost, material type, dumpster size, and service schedule. The best way to estimate savings is to use the calculator or request a custom savings review.

Is this only for large companies?

No. ACS can support individual sites, multi-site operations, municipalities, property managers, construction companies, manufacturers, and waste-sector partners.

How do I get started?

Book a demo or request a savings review. ACS will review your current waste setup, identify where compaction can help, and recommend the best service approach.
